Slim to none if Everton can't bring a striker in in the next 24 hours. Just hope we're not throwing all our eggs into one basket as we've done a couple of times in the past.
They will have goal bonuses and clean sheet bonuses (for keepers ) in their parent club contracts but i assume they would be renegotiated with the loan club. I can't see us paying Amad the same goal bonus he has in his Man Utd contract considering they paid about 40m for him.
I’m not his biggest fan but I’d be disappointed if he didn’t come back. Mainly because we already know what we’re getting and I’m confident he’d be able to hit the ground running.
It's never really been their strategy to look for bargains. If you've actually seen this lad play, it's clear he's a top class talent, no matter how many times you say "half a season". He was the young player at the tournament in the world cup and gets his game for Argentina ahead of many talented players already playing in Europe. He won the South American equivalent of the Europa League aged 20 and was in the team of tournament. He then won the league title with River before moving to Benfica. His "half a season" at Benfica saw him named midfielder of the month for all but 1 month and has seen him stand out in the league and champions league where Benfica topped a group with PSG and Juventus in it.
So that justifies his value rocketing from €10m (thought it was €15m but I’ve just checked) to €130m in the space of 6 months because he’s played in 2 draws with PSG and beaten a poor Juventus who are 13th in the league? I’ll stand corrected if he wins the Balon D’or within the next few years because that’s what I’d be expecting for that sort of money!
expecting. There’s no way we won’t be signing at least 2 players. We know about Anderson and there will definitely be a striker. I think we can be pretty confident about that.
He was quality in this league last season. For all we have Clarke on the left, there's an argument that Jewi is not ready to cover and there's also the possibility that we might need to use Clarke up front - a possibility that I'd prefer over signing a permanent 3rd choice striker that isn't good enough.
his Twitter timeline is just full of transfers that didn’t happen. In fact he’s done really well to never get anything right. You’d think something would stick
I hate Chelsea, they started all this owner coming in and buying success ****e and on top of that the way loan out so many players is ridiculous. They have no interest in every playing 80% of the players on their books. The chelsea model, snap up as many players as you possibly can loan them out across Europe for a fee and wages paid and after a while a couple will be bought cause they good enough for chesea they must be good enough! Still cringe when I think we paid 8 million or whatever it was for that clown on the back of him being a Chelsea player! I always hope that when the oligarch ****ed off they would sink!
The thing is a player is worth as much as someone is willing to pay for him, no matter how ridiculous the price seems to be. Unfortunately money is no object for the top clubs.
