It does seem odd that we'd not budge (apparently) on our price for Salah, who was our first wide forward target this transfer window, but then go for a better player (who we've watched a few times this year) and offer more money.This has simply come up because of Chelsea getting Salah - BR prob said about us being in for him still when Chavs had their offer accepted so we coul get our price sorted with kono under the radar
It's like bidding for your second choice first, failing, then going for your first option.
Not saying we're transfer window smokescreen geniuses, but it seems odd. Especially how the Konoplyanka news was broke only a day after Salah moved and very rarely do things move that fast when we're concerned.
