It does seem odd that we'd not budge (apparently) on our price for Salah, who was our first wide forward target this transfer window, but then go for a better player (who we've watched a few times this year) and offer more money.

It's like bidding for your second choice first, failing, then going for your first option.

Not saying we're transfer window smokescreen geniuses, but it seems odd. Especially how the Konoplyanka news was broke only a day after Salah moved and very rarely do things move that fast when we're concerned.

Surely an argument is a difference of opinions. I feel we dither in negotiating ,you don't. Don't see that either of us can actually prove the point.

I don't think he did or didn't dither. My point was that none of us know what happens behind the scenes. That is fact, not opinion <ok>
 
Just for the record...note the use of a certain word beginning with D...and another beginning with the N word:

Paris Saint-Germain and Bayer Leverkusen have been linked with Konoplyanka in the past while it is thought that Manchester United manager David Moyes also had him watched when he was at Everton.
 
The fact he is dubbed the 'Egyptian Messi' just makes anything said about him completely laughable.

I'm sure Salah was target one- allowed to bid up to "£xmill"- Konan the Ukranian was target two- allowed to bid up to "£ymill".

As soon as Salah bid failed they launched plan B.

There is probably a plan C and D too.

Must be true if a agent said it <laugh>

There was another comment from Salah's former club that said we never made a bid too <ok>

No. I was saying I find it funny that people give Ayre stick when they've not really got a clue whats going off.
