Wiki is where I looked first. Says he's got 33 goals and 23 assists in 157 games. Not the worst record in the world but then, he's playing in a poor league too.

Edit: I looked for Yevhen Konoplyanka but you said Yevhen Olehovych Konoplianka, is there different pages?

Same page someone is just playing with his wiki page. Now says:

Yevhen Olehovych Konoplianka is a footballer for Liverpool F.C. He also is a Garlands regular who free keys of MCAT to anybody in that back bit if the bouncers aren't looking.

Also goals back to 5 in 16 games (12 starting) and something like 3 assists.

Just put the phone down to my proverbial mate.

1. Is Konoplyanka happening? - Yes. Almost certain.

2. Is he any good? - He's decent.

If he was superb, he wouldn't be at a Ukrainian club at 24 yrs old.

I suppose that's a fair point, but decent to my mate = well above the norm, so maybe a good signing. He's always wanted a winger, but he can play across the front three, apparently.

Everything's fine with Sturridge and Rodgers, by the way.

That is all.

So £15mill on Mr. Colonplonka...(hope he's good)how much would that leave for a DM?

Colonplonka may be the best winger in the world left unsold... but he's not really what we need- as exciting a prospect as he may or may not be. (don't know enough to judge).

I'm Ukrainian and a huge supporter of Dynamo Kiev. I have been watching Yarmolenko and Konoplyanka play for 5 years now. I watch every (or try to) Ukrainian national team game, and I still remember, watching this 20 year old kid start against Romania in his first international and score his first goal. In that game against Romania, Konoplyanka was only half the player he is now. He's probably the fastest player in Ukraine and the best dribbler, which tells you a lot because there's many technical Brazilians that play in Ukraine.
I think Konoplyankas greatest strength is his speed, dribbling and agility, his passing and crossing (even though it was great against England) isn't as consistent as it could be, but it has improved over the years. I'm especially impressed with how much his left footed crossing and shooting has improved. In my opinion Konoplyankas dribbling and control ranks up there with some of the best in the world, his style resembles that of Robben.
His weakness is that he at times try's to do too much, again very Robben like. But that also shows that he has a lot of confidence in his ability, he wants to get the ball and he wants to take on defenders, doesn't matter who he is facing England or San Marino.
Yevhen can defiantly benefit in playing for a better team. Dnipro Is a decent team, but they lack the ability of top teams to make dangerous runs and create space. So if you ever get a chance to watch Dnipro in a Ukrainian Derby you will notice the Konoplyanka usually attracts extra attention from the defenders, and Dnipro has a difficult time creating space for him.
I think in the right club Konoplyanka can defiantly be a star in England. I still expect him to get better so maybe a change is best for him.

Yarmolenko is just as great as Konoplyanka, just as technical, and just as good of a dribbler. Yarmolenko scores more, is stronger and can act as both a playmaker and a target man.
I think Yarmolenko is a better crosser (although we didn't see much of that against England) and at 6'3, he is surprisingly fast but still nowhere near Konoplyanks speed.
He's not fit for the Premier league though, I can see Yarmolenko playing in Italy or Germany.
Konoplyanks on the other hand is better fit for the Premier Leagues style of play.
Trust me their both equally as talented, and there is somewhat of a debate amongst Ukrainians as to how is better. There are also some Ukrainian football experts that think Yarmo and Kono still have the potential to maybe one year be nominated for the Ballon d'or.
.

Dave Fallows is the one in Ukraine who will be conducting the negotiations. Could that mean Ayre/Hogan are working on other deals? ...

What was the name of that crap Serbian player who played left wing a few years back?

I just feel that's what he will be like, hope not though.

You mean 100K a week Milan Jovanovic? <laugh>

If the price is 15 mil, then there at least has to be a good faith that he will be good, come good. But still........ no CM? no RB? Feels he can address those two better in the summer? Maybe a trick up the sleeve in that department?
