After seeing how the first half of the season has panned out, I think we would have more points if we had Reina.
Reina had his disadvantages, he was a far worse shot-stopper imho. I feel much more confident when a 30yarder is smashed at Mig than Reina's floppy hands
we was never going to keep him though, as the owners have made it perfectly clear they had an issue with wages we was paying out for players, esp someone who would have been back up.
does make you wonder why we couldn't sell though, unless Reina said he only wanted to leave for barca as he was led to believe they wanted him back then.

That's good, like the "Dunkin' Donuts" deal, but it won't help us on the pitch. Must admit to being a bit bemused by our actions recently. We put a large number of our players out on loan and BR complains about our squad size and strength and then ... we sign no one.
I understand his position that we have to sign the right players, but surely if size of squad is an issue then anyone coming in would be better than no one? And, also, why send so many out on loan? If we get any further injuries aren't we going to have to recall some loanees?
With Assaidi I thought BR's tactic was to send him out on loan for a year, whilst Moses was here with us (good idea in theory but Moses has been pretty pedestrian!), get him some playing time to boost his confidence and then bring him back to challenge our new signing Salah for a starting berth. However, now Salah looks to have fallen through, Assaidi will come straight back into the first team with no one to really push him for a place. We've seen with Johnson (perhaps) that this isn't a great motivation for players ... no competition for places means some players get complacent and their level drops.

I hate that man. Not everyone has the same resources that he has at disposal. Normal clubs have to negotiate to get the best value.
Chelsea can just go straight in and give them what they want. That's why they are able to sign players quickly.
I know what you're saying but assaidi was bought for his pace and ability to play mostly as an orthodox winger. Sterling is the closest thing to that in your above examples. Salah could've done likewise as he's very fast and can play as an out an out winger. Coutinho can beat people but he is more effective in the middle than out wide. Suso is better at being a play maker and passer than beating people with pace and or trickery.

You get a lot of cars labeled Chevrolet in North America that are rebadged as Vauxhall in the UK (Opel in europe) and vice-versa.
GM obviously just decided to change which brand to advertise with us... its not like we dropped them to go with someone else.
Chevy and Vauxhall equal same company.
Not sure why GM has multiple brands targeting same demographic... its silly... they should just stick to Vauxhall in UK.
They did same thing in US- Pontiac, Chevvy, (and towards the end Buick and Oldsmobile started shifting down to mid-level cars) had 4 brands competing for same demographic and shot themselves in the foot. 3 of those brands now dead.
