Damn you Bluff, you've got me excited about Draxler! Lol

What a player he is - only 20 as well. The lad will become world class!

As you say, probably there to watch Salah but you never know! Me personally, I wouldn't mind taking a punt on Farfan. Great wing player, can take on a man, only problem is that hot and cold factor. When he is on he is ****ing frightening!

Crazy random suggestion that obviously won't ever happen but...

Drogba anyone?

Becoming more and more clear that Di Maria wants out of Madrid........ man he would be awesome to have but I feel the only way we would get him would be part of a deal for Suarez and that is not happening this Jan....... not yet at least.

Suarez, Sturridge, Di Maria, Coutinho...... get the towels out, fap time.

Manchester United, Liverpool and Real Madrid may have to delay making a move for Scottish starlet Ryan Gauld, after the forward extended his contract at Dundee United by a further year.

The highly-rated attacker marked his 18th birthday by signing a new deal with the Scottish Premiership outfit - keeping him at the club until May 2017.

Being described as the "finest young prospect in Scotland, maybe even Europe" by the national newspaper Scotland on Sunday, Gauld made his Dundee first-team debut at 16 years of age, but is yet to make his full international debut under Scotland boss Gordon Strachan.

The player Dundee fans have dubbed 'Mini Messi' has been linked with potential moves to some of the biggest clubs in the world.

And while Gauld consistently states he wants to develop his talent at Tannadice, the youngster has admitted in the past that he has ambitions to play abroad, with Spain his preferred destination.

The 18-year-old scored his sixth goal of the season in the Terrors' 4-1 win over Kilmarnock on Saturday, and manager Jackie McNamara said Gauld's latest contract extension shows the club's desire to build something "special".

The Dundee boss said: "Ryan is showing his commitment to the club by signing this contract. We are trying to build something special here and securing Ryan on a longer deal signals our desire to achieve this.

"He is a fantastic talent who appreciates that Dundee United is the best place for him to develop at this time.

"Dundee United fans will quite rightly be delighted at this news and how the club is moving forward just now."

we all like to hype up our national side players so take this with a pinch of salt how good he is (Scottish newspaper), or could be, havent we heard the same with this young Derby (?) player (English media)we was linked with.

there was high expectations for Wilson, and look how that one turned out, be nice to think the scots have quality players coming back through like ally mac,Gough,Dalglish,Hansen,Souness etc have in the past, but think it has been a good 10-15 yrs that i know of, that they have had anyone to shout about.

hopefully when they do we will have good connections because of the scots we have had, just don't judge us on how Wilson turned out lol

kids needs to think hard. I personally think staying up there a little while longer is no harm as long as he does it to grwo up a bit and be ready to move away from home etc.

I think that well ending buried in a big clubs academy would probably ruin him cos i don't think the kids up there are all that savvy when it comes to competing. James Mccarthy went to wigan from up there rather than us and he did ok... i mean he's still only at small clubs but hey... its a career ;)

Needs a Neymar :bandit:

Rumours of Mata to PSG which could mean Pastore or Moura are leaving (even if on loan).

More rumours that PSG want Pogba which could mean Matuidi may leave ..

Napoli want Agger on loan.

why cant they have Skrtel <whistle>

besides, what is the point of sending him on loan, key player for us, and rather sell Skrtel than loan him.

unless Llori etc are going to get game time, don't we only have 4 CB we can rely on. Sakho,Agger,Skrtel and Toure, don't count Kelly really, i missed any one?

1 injury and we would regret that loan move.

Another CM, for me, is Fredy Guarin and the rumors are picking up pace that United and Chelsea are leading the race. Man he would be awesome for us! Box to box midfielder, believe he is 26 so in his prime and many years to come, big, strong, powerful, great technique, has goals in his game. Plus I buy him on Fifa along with Veratti. <ok>

More on Mitroglou

Liverpool have been joined by Premier League leaders Arsenal in the race for prolific Olympiacos striker Kostas Mitroglou.

Brendan Rodgers' side are known to be keen on the forward, who has impressed for the free-scoring Greek league leaders, netting 22 times for club and country already this term.

However, according to the Daily Star, Mitroglou has now caught the eye of Gunners boss Arsene Wenger, who is expected to enter the market in January as he looks for an alternative to Olivier Giroud.

And the £7.5million-rated striker could fit the bill, with his manager having admitted that he may depart Piraeus.

"If he keeps on doing well, it will be hard to keep him," said Olympiacos boss Michel.

"We've known for some time that there has been interest from many clubs, but that's only logical considering how well he has been doing lately."

The hitman has starred for Olympiacos this season, scoring 14 goals in 10 matches for his club who sit top of the Greek Super League, dropping just two points in their opening 15 matches.

The 25-year-old has also netted three times in the Champions League as the Greeks secured qualification for the knockout stages, where they will meet Manchester United.

However, Mitroglou is currently sidelined with a meniscus injury picked up at the end of November, which is expected to keep him out of action until the new year.

Liverpool manager Rodgers has had the Greek international watched on a number of occasions by both head of recruitment Dave Fallows and chief scout Barry Hunter, who were present to watch the striker net three times in Greece's World Cup play-off against Romania last month.

However, there is a danger that he could be usurped by Wenger, who could use Costa Rican international Joel Campbell - on loan at Olympiacos from Arsenal - as a makeweight in any potential move.

Never heard of this kid and I normally feel I kind of at least know of up and comers!

England's top clubs are chasing the hottest young property to emerge in Germany for years - Kevin Volland.

The 21-year-old winger, currently playing for *Hoffenheim in the *Bundesliga, has emerged as a genuine talent.

He is a left-footed player blessed with pace and *dribbling skills and operates on the right wing for his club.

Arsenal, Manchester United, Chelsea and *Liverpool have been alerted to his ability, and Tottenham have been on his case for months. The bad news for the top-flight outfits is that Bayern Munich joined the queue last week.

The youngster is rated at £12million and is under contract until 2017. He burst on to the Bundesliga scene last season and made 30 appearances.

if the greek kid is injured we should stay the f away! have we not learned **** i nthe past few years. don't buy injured players... and no coutinho's small strain when bought doesn't count.

Don't buy anyone as in a couple of years apparently transfer fees won't exist and a player will just be able to work their notice or a lib can pay off the contract...

That's according to the world players union. Standing up for those poor footballers rights, bless em

meh... if players were not so cheap they could pay off their contracts now. if the notcie period on a 250k per week contract is not 2-3 years i'd be astonished so... transfer fees will exist.

Hmm I'm not convinced by Guarin - talented no doubt but since Porto, he's been very inconsistent.

Twitter rumours - we''ve been in contact with Alonso's agent for a potential 2 year deal ...

be nice if their was some truth in that.

1. most reds want Alonso back, so could be a load of bull made up to wum.
2. not much confidence shown in him for only a 2yr contract (i know his age could be a factor, but he is probably good for at least 3yrs). but better than having another Cole player and sitting on the bench on ridiculous money i suppose if he doesn't perform to what we know and expect from him, (although Alonso has more class than Cole so doubtful)
3. would he take our penny pinching contract.
4. who would he be fighting for a place with , as even though it's one game, our midfield looks comfortable and full of energy.
5. need to keep playing Allen and Henderson (confidence) even though i doubt that will happen, so is it one position for Lucas,Alonso and Gerrard to fight for?
6. could play Gerrard further forward i suppose, like to see, but probably wont happen sadly, he will be good for 60 mins odd, then we can bring on Sterling,Moses etc when opo legs start tiring.
