Might be good to have that sort of player on the bench though (not saying Morgan is the answer but that type would be a bonus). Every time I look at our bench I can't see where the goals could come from. Be a shame to see him go but the kid just hasn't been able to kick on. Hope he gets a chance elsewhere and first team footy helps him develop. If we do let him go on a free does that mean we have no say as to buy back/sell on clauses etc? Did we let Ince go to Blackpool for free or was there a compensation deal?
I remember watching Morgan playing in a Europa game in an interesting system. Shelvey as a very deep false 9, Morgan on the right, Cole on the left. Morgan and Cole were basivcally making bent runs inside ahead of Shlvey, who wuld feed them the ball. Morgan made some good runs and seemed very aware of the system and what his role was. His work rate was great. But he wasnt productive enough on the ball. His touch could have been better and he didnt really get in to any goal scoring positions. But he seemed tactically intelligent. But I think Sinclair and Yesil are better prospects and should get the focus now.
well the thing is you have to be fair to young lads too. if it is true its better if he's got club to go to that he goes now and gives it a go than he hangs round here kicking reserve ball for 2 years then ends up in non league. you can only make 2/3 players a year max for yourself so the other lads do deserve the honestly and chance to go prove you wrong. I still think he needed more pace to be a top striker and thats all thats gotten sterling and ibe where they are. we'll see whats announced offically.
Rumours are starting to gain momentum on Fernando Reges. His contract is expiring next summer but I think we could make a small offer in January. Would be a great option
Ibe hasnt gotten any where yet. 1 start at the end of the season when our league position was fixed, and a few sits on the bench. Morgan got more than that by playing a few Europa games.
Brazilian defensive midfielder for Porto - great engine and physicality, tall, strong etc. Can play the ball a bit as well but keep strength is reading the game and winning back possession. Nickname is 'The Octopus' for his uncanny ability to be everywhere on the pitch and a "leggy" style of play. Remember seeing this guy play for Porto a few seasons ago and he was immense! Everytime Porto are on the telly, I keep an eye out for the lad he hardly has a bag game.. Would be very happy with this purchase. However, wasn't this the chap Everton were also after? Also, if "rumours" of Dembele being unhappy at Spurs are true, he's one player I'd love to have in our first 11, superb player.
Yep - Everton were after him as well but he's too good for them. Personally, I would prefer M'Vila but Fernando would be a cheaper alternative. Dembele would be great as well. Fernando/M'Vila would be great DM options, whereas Demeble would be the box to box MF.
No probs - the first video wasn't the greatest as he was often in possession, without the need to dive into tackles. Second video shows more of his reading of the game, interceptions and strong tackling.
Lazio midfielder Ogenyi Onazi has confirmed his interest in joining Liverpool during the January transfer window. Onazi, who is enjoying another strong season in Italian football, has been increasingly linked with a move away from Lazio in the new year. And amid growing links with Liverpool, the 20-year-old says he would be interested in moving to Merseyside if an offer arrived. "I would jump at the chance to play in the Premier League," said Onazi. "Liverpool? They are a huge team and are attractive to any footballer. I could see myself playing for them." Onazi was reportedly watched by Reds scouts during Nigeria's 2-2 draw with Italy at Craven Cottage on Monday, in which the midfielder impressed. Lazio are believed to want about £6million for his services, with Inter Milan and Ajax also known to be keen. Fast, strong and with an eye for goal, Onazi has been compared to Jay Jay Okocha. EDIT: Fun story about him http://www.whoateallthepies.tv/seri...eets-of-rome-to-retrieve-tourists-wallet.html

i get the feeling he is using us to get his real move..... anyway... victor moses on loan... link every nigerian international..
yes and no. you are quite right about not achieving anything but as a 17 year old to be in the first team squad training and on the bench on occasion is something that is a lot more than playing u21s. yeah morgan got a couple of europas but that was in the context of not having any options for us. my point would be that pace, real electric pace have put both ibe and sterling on the map and its what will secure them a move if they fail to progress whereas morgan doesn't have it so he will be needing to find a different type of game to make it. or in other words why a free is on the cards it seems.
