I suspect this too. 1) I don't think we will sign three players; 2) I'm convinced we won't get a poacher; and 3) We will end up with Theo 'I'm ****, and I know I am' Walcott!
If Suarez keeps scoring then keep him in the middle, that doesn't bother me and the new "poacher" can be on the bench, but the minute Suarez goes 2 or 3 games without a goal (which we know is capable) then he can move out wide and have the finisher in the middle. Suarez can't play every game for us so we need options as well.
Wouldn't two or three games be too late...? One thing we can all agree on is that we need options Dzeko!!!!
A top quality winger/striker who can move fluidly with Suarez/Sterling/Suso etc - and finish - would be ideal. Walcott or Dries Mertens for me.
Damioa would be awsome. He played LWF at the Olympics and score 6 goals in 5 games. Suarez will stay as the false 9 and I aam happy with that. The wide forward positions are where we must add goals. In the summer we should consider an alternative false 9 to back up Suarez. Michu would be great.
After today and showing how we have no one to really place like Lucas, if we can get a sissoko type I would want that as well. Striker, AM ( possibly not really an immediate need), and possibly that DM? In the summer should look for that steel DM, LB, another winger, and of course striker.
I saw it and I agree that will happen ( or a Ruiz type). Just think recently we have shown that we need a Strong DM and they can come cheap. Just throwing my opinion in on what I think we really need to sort.
Do we need a replacement for Gerrard? Does our style definately need that type of player? Or do we just need a strong, creative attacking midfielder who can tackle? I dont think we need some one exactly like Gerrard. Dont forget Shelvey btw. Rodgers is a big fan.
