Still not sure about Ince, his stats are impressive but that's at Championship level. For the price been quoted I consider it a big risk, I'd rather us bring in an experienced player, Coutiniho is still only 20 so if we were to sign him, we'd have more than enough youth and potential. Also talks of Ashley Williams being a potential target, good player but don't see it happening after what he said about Suarez.
Having seen Man Utd part with £15m for Zaha (it'll get to that amount or near as damn it), does part of you think "if we sign Ince and he is successful, it will be like when we signed Lucas and they got Anderson? The Zaha deal could also make Blackpool think Ince is worth more
Even if they don't already, they know we're terrible in the transfer market so they'll be demanding at least £20m anyway
I thought that since inter are looking to sell Coutinho and have sold Sneijder in an effort to raise the funds to buy this Paulinho fella, he would be worth a gander? He must be better than than what they had, otherwise what is the point?
He's a promising attacking midfielder... think he's 21. Sounds a bit like a guy called Paul. Amazing the difference a month could make to our firepower
Dylan Fahy ‏@dylan_fahy #Inter manager Andrea Stramaccioni on Philippe Coutinho and Paulinho: "Hard sacrifices required to get the players we need..."
well its interesting so the question is now does the player want to come? did he merely state what he did to keep a loyalty bonus or fans on his side OR does it indidcate a lack of interest? Lucas is here so its not like he's got nobody to refer to i guess.
Oh an i don't see the line up fit with ince. borini sterling and downing for left side suarez and sturridge and borini for the middle borini sterling and downing can all play right side too with sturridge. so while i am naming 5 players for 3 poistions i'd want one more in but surely it should be someone who can play right side primarally as downing and stelring play left.... the only way i can see ince happening is if downing goes. i'd still sell downing mind just so i'm clear on that. Coutinho needs to be studied to figure out where he gets employed... and what does he do for henderson and shelvey? is he just replacing sahin?
Sturridge, Suarez and Borini can pay in all three front positions. Downing and Sterling can play either side. Coutinho can apparently play either side too. I don't see the need for Ince too
Really? Waw, what's he still doing in Brazil I wonder. Late bloomer perhaps. On our options... Borini should be a back up central striker. If he plays wide he's basically Dirk Kuyt with nicer hair. And so far without the important goals. He doesn't have the pace or trickery we need out wide. What he does have is movement and a decent shot. Ince can play left, right, or through the centre as an attacking mid. As can Coutinho. Our options for the front three could be: LW Coutinho Sterling Ince Suso Downing Borini ST Sturridge Suarez Borini Coutinho Sterling (although only in a 3-5-2) RW Suarez Coutinho Sterling Sturridge Ince Suso Downing That is suddenly quite a bit of depth.
