Definitely need a LB and keep Ayling on his toes with Berardi, need a rawboned CF who can mix it a bit, and that’s all I would be getting in the transfer window.
Can't say that I'm surprised that we released them. Perhaps their Spanish wasn't up to scratch for the U23s? ..... https://www.yorkshireeveningpost.co...former-boss-warnock-at-cardiff-city-1-8916801
And so it begins we're gonna turn in to Chelsea and Arsenal and start producing great foreign talent while kicking British kids to the curb
To be perfectly honest, Wolfie, it was justified - just should have been earlier. It still rankles that they let Jack Vann go, as he was the best CB we had, and seemed to be quite a prospect. Then again, we don't see what happens in the background re. personality, team ethic, hard trainer, authority issues, and all the rest of the bad habits the club can do without. In the case of the MacKays, they only needed to justify it on talent alone. I'm sure their dad will get them sorted out. He's certainly sorted us out in the past, but not in a good way. Karma
Summer will see what the real plan is for the kids. We know emphasis now being put on local kids from local schools and Yorkshire clubs. We are now going after the best of the best again, instead of allowing Man City to pick the best from West Yorkshire. Looks like the early plan to stabalise the academy and improve was to bring over a whole bunch of talented kids. Some of them are now in the first team squad. Results are improving but yet to be seen if good enough
Championship side Leeds United are lining up a January move for Heracles striker Brandley Kuwas, according to Football Insider. Not bothered about this as only scored 3 but 9 assists? https://thisisfutbol.com/2017/12/bl...nterested-as-liverpool-to-make-kent-decision/ Another one not too fussed about especially if he cant get in the Freiburg team
Wow didnt see this coming, but apparently Leeds are talking to Big Sam about signing Pennington on a real contract
So far there are over 20 publications & on-line sources but heres another https://www.express.co.uk/sport/foo...hew-Pennington-Everton-Talks-EFL-Championship
YEP now touting these, but do we need more loan kids or should we go for more experienced proven players who are better than what we have. https://www.yorkshireeveningpost.co...nuary-transfer-move-to-leeds-united-1-8923212
ITK? (Hope not, personally!). http://www.sportsanalog.com/2017/12...dfielder-linked-with-january-transfer-return/
jock yeah a bit scary but he has played over 130 games for Boro and been a big cog in their midfield wheel, especially under Karanka which means Orta knows him well? Hes 28 a regular man of the match winner as we know from his time here. Experienced deffo, but think Monk wanted him and Howson to be paired again but not worked out really. clayton and Leadbitter were a dynamic duo for Boro and won promotion? Is he better than Phillips O’Kane I would say yes. Is he the dynamic tough tackling flair player we need, I would say not
