Bournemouth have just signed Juan Iturbe from Roma on a loan to buy. He cost Roma £17m a couple of years back, so that's quite the signing. He's someone I've frequently heard of as a young talent, but presumably he's not settled at Roma or others are ahead of him in the pecking order. Shrewd business with a loan to buy deal. If he's a hit and they stay up, he's theirs. If he flops or they get relegated, they let him go. It's like getting your summer transfer targets six months early with little risk.
Posted about that on the General Football. I can't believe they got him. He's an outstanding player! Gutted.
Best you sit down, KIO, and pour a nice glass of lager as I unveil our latest 'stella(r)' signing http://www.canaries.co.uk/news/article/diallang-jaiyesimi-norwich-city-2879989.aspx
Supposedly the Iturbe deal has a clause where 10 appearances and Premier League survival compels Bournemouth to buy him for £15m. I'm wondering if he'll reach 9 appearances then disappear into the reserves if he isn't a hit.
I don't believe such a clause would be in there. I think he will have no troubles being a success though.
Ah crap! I would have been surprised if he came to us, and surprised if he left Italy. But, I was dreaming that the pull of the Premier League might give us a chance.
Did I read on here or twitter that going back in for Nicolas Nkoulou was not out of the question? Any substance to that? As I would prefer him to Ranocchia.
Most recent I can find of us linked is this. http://www.tribalfootball.com/artic...or-marseille-defender-nicolas-nkoulou-4107445
I don't think Remi has featured for Burton since the early weeks of the season, he's maybe had 45 minutes since their first choice keeper returned to fitness. Makes sense to get him back at Colney at the start of the transfer window, and try and get him loaned somewhere he'll play.
