Apparently Danny Uchechi has left them and returned to Nigeria. Another bright youngster whose career has gone off the rails?
danny haynes being linked again by the guy on south london press. aparently its between us or millwall. do we need another striker? isnt bwp, kermo, clarke and hayes enough? i'd have liked to see something like that keith andrews come in. big midfielder at this level.
Keith Andrews the b'burn midfielder? If so, I think he was linked to a premiership team this week. I think CP wants Hayes as he can also play on either wing. Seems to like versatility. Just saw cawleys post- CAFC think price is too high as of this morning. Must admit I thought he would be 500k minimum. Millwall want a loan to permanent but Barnsley aren't as keen on that.
I see Crawley now value Tubbs at £500k but Bournemouth's offer was lower and they won't increase it, Tubbs has always scored goals throughout his career. I'm sure that Crawley turned down £750k last January from a Champ team so perhaps his contract is coming to an end.
matt tubbs would be a great signing. dont just look at the number of goals, look at his all round game and the diversity/quality of his strikers. think he could easily develop further. how old is he AHLL? 400K would be a good acquistion for Matt Tubbs.
Radio Sheffield reporting this morning that we have had an offer turned down for Danny Haynes, but a deal is expected to be agreed at some stage. Don't shoot the messanger now, as I have just received this info from a sad mate in Manchester who for some reason listens to Radio Sheffield.
Don't think your not wrong Diamond... SLP said y'day that we are being priced out of a deal. Kenny Jacket has been talking about him today too, confirming their interest. Looking at both teams though, you get the impression that neither are in great need of him. I'd be happy with the signing as it would create competition in the squad, but he won't replace BWP or Kermo and neither JJ or Green on the wings.
"...perhaps his contract is coming to an end." This is from Wiki, AllHell - 'On 1 July 2010, Tubbs signed a 6557 year deal with Conference National club Crawley Town for a club record fee, officially undisclosed but believed to be in the region of £70,000.' Guess that keeps him there for life.
Millwall on Hayes: http://www.newsshopper.co.uk/sport/...nterest_puts_Milwall_deal_for_Haynes_on_ice/? Powell on keeping players: http://www.eatsleepsport.com/charlton-athletic/powell-hands-off-my-stars-1366027.html?
Double post, BUT SLP - ''word on the street is that CAFC have had a bid ACCEPTED for Danny Haynes and that Millwall will NOT be matching it.'' He was the former journo who has strong 'wall contacts. Retweeted by Cawley.
Beat me to it, my brother says all he has is pace? My brother is a good judge on players......you on twitter Super?
Leon Cort has signed an 18 month contract with us apparently - just announced on Twitter. He becomes the clubs 17th and 23rd signing in on go - not a bad record that !!!
I use the company twitter. They get annoyed at all the CAFC players and SLP coming up, but they will have to live with it Pace is his main attribute. However I think he's more comfortable when running at defenders than say, BWP, but obviously Brads is a much better finisher. He's more of a ''game changer'' than Hayes, Clarke and even Waggy.
