Yankee we were crap. I was at the game and it was one of the worst performances I have seen since we have been in the Pl. I am not in anyway saying it was down to Amat being in the DF role. But we were piss poor. Also I dont think it worked for Amat there. He looked completely lost and out of his depth in that role.

It also means when they had 11 men on the pitch they managed to score 2 goals in 50 mins and this was a West ham side who couldnt buy a win at the time (if I recall that part correctly)

Just checked roof and before our game they had won 2 in 16 and one of those was against Cardiff, who everyone beat. To be fair you are right after beating us they did win anohter 3 on the bounce.

To be fair , after beating us , West Ham went on a 5 or so game winning streak , starting with Carroll being out for 3 games ....I think , not totally sure but pretty sure.... we were toothless against West Ham.

A lot of great central defenders arent very fast and thats because theyre scope of responsibility is super important but not a huge area.Putting a central defender into the role of DM opens up a lot of area he is responible for and most get lost in the pace to cover it imo.

When you don't make chances, you have to be classed as crap unfortunately. Being "on the offensive" and being "held at arms length" are two different things in my view. Even before they "shut up shop" we still didn't create any real chances that day which provides the real story of that game. It was a classic "all ball, no balls" Swansea match.
