Hull City To Swoop For Fleet-Footed Winger: A Much-Needed Signing From Marco Silva?
Marco Silva has brought a unique attitude with himself to a struggling Hull City side. Although the Tigers won’t change into a winning team overnight, there has definitely been a change in their approach in the past few weeks, which was missing during Mike Phelan’s stint.
Their last game against Chelsea was a perfect example of it. It was only after the Blues netted the second goal in the end minutes of the game that they could sense some relief. The Hull players never gave up and deserved a goal, but lacked the quality up front to beat Courtois.

The 19-year-old Jamaican winger plays for Belgian side Genk and is touted to be one of the brightest talents in European football. His impressive displays have attracted a lot of clubs lining up for his signature and the Tigers entering the race although looks bizarre but says a lot about their ambition. They could reportedly complete the deal this month winning the battle against top clubs like Roma, Bayer Leverkusen and Napoli.

Although the reported fee might not be that luring for either the club or the player, a move to the Premier League could well be possible with the player repeatedly expressing his desire to play in England. Hull will definitely have to up their bid, though, as the player is valued at 20 million pounds and Genk will expect the club to meet it.
A move to a club not threatened by relegation and playing in Europe would definitely be an ideal choice, but it is difficult to see the youngster getting a regular chance there. Hence, Hull, who are doing really well under Silva, could actually be an ideal platform to start with. Bailey has even stated something similar to it.
He said, “I’ve always dreamt of the Premier League. But if let’s say, Manchester United can’t guarantee me minutes, I will stay at Genk. The important thing is that in the near future there are a lot of games to come.”
The 19-year-old has scored six goals in 18 league games for Genk this season so far. However, his most sparkling performances have come in Genk’s Europa League qualifiers and group stage, where he has scored 7 goals and 3 assists in 12 appearances.
