There's clearly something not right with Niasse given Everton's treatment of him. If he had just scored 8 in 13 for Moscow or whatever it was and we were bidding £13.5m for him right now we'd all be quite excited. What you can find from his time at Everton he looks total dog ****, but he can't be that bad for Everton to have even considered buying him in the first place, unless he was never even watched before hand which is unlikely. As mentioned already on loan what have we got to lose? I'm willing to give him a chance. If he's **** then he's **** and at worst we've wasted a loan spot which wasn't being used anyway.
Have you finished digging up those articles linking Niasse to Silva at Sporting and Olympiakos yet? What have we got to lose? 1 of only 2 PL loan spots.
I didn't realise that. Now I think about it, we really shouldn't be looking at another striker of African descent.
Must say I agree with Syd here. A few Evertonian mates really think he is utter utter ****e. Even his Youtube highlight reel looks ****e to be honest save for about 2 goals. Dio looks a much better player to me. I'm all for eating humble pie if i'm wrong but I'd steer well clear.
His YouTube highlights video suggests to me some shocking defending more than anything else. On the majority of goals that, on the surface, look great, he hardly has a defender within a yard and a half of him. I vaguely remember him playing for you and much criticism forthcoming but what particularly went tits up in his 100 minutes?
Think it was the Leicester game where the ball bounced off him at every touch. I remember those 'highlights' getting posted on here last time we were linked.
HDM reporting Evandro Goebel coming on loan, either they've just had a massive **** up and they mean Niasse, or there's a bit more business being done.
He arrived and then was deemed 'not match fit' which was club speak for "what the **** have we signed here?" He eventually made his debut as a sub and everyone just looked and thought wtf is this fella supposed to be? It was truly laughable. Koeman arrived gave him a start in a pre-season game and then immediately told him to clear his locker and find another club, as the bloke is absolutely rank. He rejected a couple of loan moves in the summer, and has been training with our U23's all season.
