Watching him run at goal reminded me of Craig Bellamy at his best, but this lad's a winger! Looking forward to this.
I am not a gambling man too.....but I put the bet on Monday when everyone was whinging about us have no players and moaning at the owner. I just wanted to make a token gesture to show my faith in the team !! My only other bet in my life (I am 53) was in a similar situation at the beginning of this season when everyone was writing us off, I placed a bet to beat Leicester.
There's something very odd about this one. On what grounds did we even have the right to appeal in the first place? Surely if its just a case of not getting the documents signed on time it would never have got this far... somethings fishy..
He seems to have out and out pace. Something we have lacked recently. If we are successful in landing Yannis from Guingamp, it looks like we'll have two really quick wingers - looking forward to an attacking threat based solely on having a couple of speed merchants that can dribble.
Perhaps it's been lost in translation somewhere and the agent is saying the reason it fell through (rather than "has fallen through") is because we apparently did not sign the documents in time, and this is what the appeal's about. Problem is we don't know when the programme was recorded or aired where the agent said this.
Don't you get extra time for completion of deals on the proviso it has reached a certain stage? Be interesting to see what happens, I hope we can sign him as he looks as quick as Grosicki. We'll terrify the PL with raw pace alone.
I can't see why we'd bother to appeal if we were late with the documents. We'll just have to wait and see. As always TWT.
Like you GLP I hope it actually might still go through... BUT... if it doesn't Marcovik has at least shown some signs last night that he might actually step up...
Going down the rabbit hole of Twitter is tiring.. but the guy that has said all this about the signatures is actually Grosicki's agent: please log in to view this image And he was clearly there on the night in question: please log in to view this image But I have no idea how he can know about the signature for Salibur, unless he's HIS agent as well (seems unlikely). Very odd. Oh and Silva looks knackered, no wonder he left early
I really hope we sign him but what I find odd is the lack of rumours from this side of the channel. Surely it would be all over sky sports news and the like if there was even a sniff of it being a possibility?
Nothing at all on his Twitter feed... and nothing on Saliburs twitter either... you'd have thought something might have been posted..
