He was one of our lower paid first team players, but all Premier League footballers contracts are lucrative. Except Tymon's...
He's still on a scholarship deal, so if he goes it will be for peanuts, we really need to get him on a permanent contract, but we don't even seem to be trying (unless something's changed recently).
Absolutely completely bonkers. If we go down the lads worth 3-4 million easy just for the sake of 10 grand a week or whatever.
"So, has Silva encountered more problems than he anticipated when agreeing to become Phelan's successor on January 5? "At this moment it is not important to talk about this," added the City boss. "It is important that we keep our focus and look forward in this moment. "What is important is preparing for the next game. I don't want to find excuses to talk about all the situations. My focus and my players' focus is to stay in the Premier League." " I think it's obvious from this he has had difficulties with Ehab.
Fair enough, guess it depends on perspective. I wouldn't say being a depth player at a PL club is necessarily 'doing him a favour' when he is good enough to be exactly that and is happy to be depth - a rare quality in a player.
From the sounds of it it isn't our fault with this one. Well, except for moving for him late. But we clearly did all our paperwork and the other club has stuffed up.
It's not contradictory. The squad may not be good enough but you wouldn't make it better by selling your better players. I read that both wanted to go. Who could blame them? Even if it was just for the money.
It honestly wouldn't surprise me if they had a bit of a stand off last night, Marco & Ehaw, and that's why the old man appeared, to try to smooth things over. We desperately need new owners, if only to eradicate Ehaw from our set up, he is the complete loose cannon.
We're the only club ever to give him a Premier League contract and I'd happily put money on us remaining the only club ever to give him a Premier League contract, so from that point of view we did him a favour (or rather his dad did), even if he did do a decent job of it once he got the opportunity.
Well of course, but there are plenty of players of similar quality or worse who have had PL contracts. I think it's an insult to his ability and his contribution to the club to suggest we 'did him a favour'. Have we done Clucas a favour? Odubajo?
but wouldn't it have made more sense to keep him around until the summer given our centre back situation? oh, we are talking about Ehab!?
Then I cant see why we would win the appeal. Isnt the rule that the paperwork has to be in on time from both clubs? I seem to remember a big player missed out on a transfer a few years ago because the selling club were deliberately late with the paperwork.
Utd with De Gea? They faxed it through to Real Madrid late, by all accounts. Who the **** still uses faxes? Is it just transfer deadline day that keeps them in business?
