Fair enough, guess it depends on perspective. I wouldn't say being a depth player at a PL club is necessarily 'doing him a favour' when he is good enough to be exactly that and is happy to be depth - a rare quality in a player.

Then I cant see why we would win the appeal. Isnt the rule that the paperwork has to be in on time from both clubs? I seem to remember a big player missed out on a transfer a few years ago because the selling club were deliberately late with the paperwork.
