Most extravagant, rather than expensive meal, incl drinks, was one me and my best mate had in Goa, total bill for 2 of us came to about 100 quid, but considering a main was about 2 quid and drinks were between 50p (beer) and 1.50-2.00 for a spirit and mixer......there was a **** load eaten and drunk that night
Ooo I think I just pip you if you include tip. Total bill for mine was 650 euros (I think, I was pretty drunk) at L'hotel in Paris. Worked out around £480 at the time from memory. It's the place where Oscar Wilde resided as he died and it was pretty ruddy incredible. Edit - hang on, just saw the date of yours was late 80s. Well you wipe the floor then considering inflation, that must be a grand now surely?
I don't think I had enough left for a tip. I had a $3,000 bottle of wine at an Italian in Queens once, though fortunately I didn't pick up the tab for that meal.

We already have 2 domestic loans, and you're only allowed 2. You can have as many foreign loans as you want, but a maximum of 5 in a matchday squad. Just as well, as Ehab would have about 20 players on loan, all housed in some facility in Melton somewhere
It was a very good wine, but I was glad I wasn't paying. It wasn't just a normal bottle, it was one of those massive ones with the equivalent of three bottles in it (it came in a wooden box and they shipped the empty bottle and box to anywhere in the US as part of the price). The meal ended with a food fight though, which was a bit ridiculous considering how much it all cost.
One of these has just opened in Leeds actually, at Victoria Gate. I haven't even been tempted to have a look but I might now.
