£40 per person at a pizza place? How? If anybody is near Leeds/Horsforth, I'd highly recommend il Forno for a pizza. 20" pizzas!
Yeah I know it well and have been out there loads of times. This is a work thing this week as our London office is in Finsbury Square and I'm staying nearby in Shoreditch, but it will involve food and drink on the night and I thought I'd avoid this place he mentioned. Had a good night there with Gordon Smart once (CLANG) as he got me to jump a massive **** off queue at the Queen of Hoxton and free champagne served by Maggot of Goldie Looking Chain. And saying 'seen as this up-and-coming gentrified trendy quarter now' is about 5 years too late. It started around the time of Nathan Barley and it's well past it already.
I work in Horsforth and can confirm Il Forno is class. Tiny though you need to book well in advance, unless getting takeaway. They do quality posh ice cream as well.
I honestly thought it was ****e. There's a few independent pizza places opened in the city centre recently, keep meaning to give some a try.
I had a Mojito in one of those containers on Wednesday night, bloody disgusting, I'm pretty sure they'd switched the rum for bleach. Had a brilliant meal at Dishoom though, well worth a visit (if you can be arsed to wait over an hour for a table).
I'm happy with fish and chips in Hull. I have a good fish and chip place not too far from me in London.
It seems that there is mass confusion in France regarding the future of Nicolas Pépé, Angers’ exciting forward. The player, who was apparently the subject of a €9m + bonuses bid from Hull City, was announced as ‘not going anywhere’ by his manager on transfer deadline day during a press conference ahead of Angers’ game against Caen on Wednesday. However, beIN Sports in France are now reporting the offer has been accepted by the Angers board, who have given the player until midnight tonight (French time) to make a decision on his future. The news, reported by Margot Dumon, is in line with the information presented by FootMercato earlier during the day that ‘the ball was in the player’s court’. Who do you believe at this stage? Journalists who seem to be getting information from the club, or the team’s actual manager during a press conference? We’ll see who’s right in the coming hours. Our money is on the manager. They better not wait till midnight... Be to ****ing late mate..
Just watching Silva's press conference from earlier. He looks a lot more relaxed and happy about the situation
