On the pitch he always gave 100% but to sh1t out the last 2 games as our player is unforgivable. It may cost us our EPL place and possibly a cup final place. I hope he plays when they come here.
We do. Having said that then perhaps someone can offer a link to something more than hearsay about this emailed contract. But first a few questions: 1. Had the player asked for an updated contract? 2. What was his sttitude like 3. When was it sent / what was everyones availability. 4. Just how involved was the player, oor was it led by his agent? 5. Wouldn't a proposed contract be sent by email for first scrutiny? 6. Do any of us really have rnough fscts to be judging?
3.5 year deal with West Ham. At least now we have the funds so no one can complain about us trying to sign someone..
nah it wasnt him that cost us.. it was the previous managers gameplay philosophy. there wasnt enough time to get MS' ideas through the players heads. Snodders just wanted a longer contract.. I totally understand why he wasnt played. IF he got injured, we'd never shift the scottish fairy.
Both factors would come into play - bigger, more stable & established clubs plus better financial conditions. In this game, which typically is a short career to establish long term financial security for players' families, the sensible thing to do is strike when the iron is hot. Subsequent chances may never materialize, particularly with the ever present spectre of career threatening injuries. I don't blame either lad for what they did. While here, their contributions were excellent on the filed in the main.
CityCalv or whatever his name is didn't want us to sign players before Snodgrass was sold. That's no longer an issue.
Try and be objective. They are not (I don't think) trying to sell the club. They are not restricted by cash flow, unless they wish to be. They can buy without selling. Not yet near relegation. We are all of those. As much as our owner is a twat, somethings make other things happen in a certain way.
Which is about the money that Niasse has cost Everon per minute so far (ignoring his wages) - was about £90k per minute.
I am being objective, as I then pointed out, Sunderland who are in just as bad a position as we are - if not worse financially - also managed to get 14m for Van Aanholt who also refused to play/handed in a transfer request.
Bruce is fit now by his own words, and Luer and Lenihan can hardly be counted as first team players who are injured.
The context was some of us suggesting we sign Snodgrass's replacement before selling him, and Calv was stressing about Snoddy failing his medical. Now that it's all gone through there's no longer that issue.
