Had to check. He's playing in Turkey for Antalyaspor, scored 22 in 32 according to Wiki. He'll be 36 before the season ends.
Would be amazing Itl get to the point where any club dealing with levy when spurs will want a player will just slap millions onto the original asking price
I'm always surprised by that reaction. It might be hard to accept, but due to; geography, people's (southerners) conception of Hull, our label as relegation favourites, not to mention the state of the club, we are easily the bottom of the list of Prem clubs as a destination. That will only start to change if / when we become an established PL club, but before then expect to pay exorbitant fees for average players and for selling clubs to have our pants down on a regular basis.
There's loads of PL teams outside of the M25, that are no better or more attractive than Hull. I would say we are no worse as a destination than Swansea, Middlesbrough, Sunderland, Stoke, Burnley, West Brom, Leicester.
Rumour is Phelan can only spend a % of any money raised from our sales....great! That's Snods & Abel gone
Go beg steal and borrow from united phelan, call in a few favours and get ash young and fosu mensah in, then wirk a miracle for a striker somewhere lol Just noticed igahlo at watford has been called into the team as watford have two injured crikey would be a geat striker signing if hes well out of favour there
No, I have travelled extensively in the UK and I still do. Hull and surrounding areas is actually where I'd prefer to live. Nottingham for example - it's a bit ****, not as **** as Leicester for example. But still, I wouldn't choose to live in or anywhere near Nottingham. The gun crime capital.
Totally agree. I would much prefer to live in Hull because it's my home town, but I don't for work reasons, but that doesn't change the fact that we're relegation favourites. Does anyone think we would have paid the same fee for Wanyama that Spurs did, and would we be paying the same wages now?
I think you've forgotten that Mason had, at least, the choice of us or Sunderland, so that pretty much blows your theory of us being a last resort out of the water.
