Just recouping what you paid is hardly making progress, plus with the inflation of prices it's lower in real terms.
Football is subjective and for me Livermore was our second best player with Snodgrass being the best at least as far as this season goes. My reasons. He could play comfortably as centre back and centre mid. I personally think you are just being pedantic because if if he is rated 5th best at the club, he still shouldn't have been sold for so little at this point in the season.
Nothing to do with being pedantic. I didn't get into a discussion about whether he should be sold or not, I was just picking up on the point that nobody would've said he was our 2nd best player.
Snodgrass wants to go, Ehab would not give him what he wants, end of discussion. Personally I think no player is bigger than the club and if we get a fair price then we take it. It is obvious to all we severely lack pace and as others have said, would snodders get a look in if we sign another pacey winger. We now have niasse, Dio, the lad from Liverpool, then add another pacey winger , we start to look more threatening on the counter. Good luck to snodders, a model pro, one of my favourite players, but if he wants out , good luck to him
Well I am just informing you that 2 weeks and 2 months ago I would have said Livermore was our 2nd best player after Snodgrass. Hence why I said - 'sold our 2 best players'.
I think a lot of people agree with this sentiment but the problem is that they don't see £10m as a fair price.
This is all on paper. We haven't seen any threat yet - I'm sure I could put something on YouTube that makes Dio look fantastic.
True I am just not a fan of losing tried and trusted players and having to rely on unknowns I'm not saying the players are bad but we dont know them well enough
