If he continues at the rate he's going - or even making the assumption he halves his output - you're telling me a 29 year old winger with 12 months on his contract, having scored 10+ goals and 5+ assists for a team who were woeful - wouldn't attract a 10m pound bid from someone?
Then that's even more stupid from the Allams as all the other player's relegation clauses are more than the prices we paid for them.
What if they've both got £10million release clauses in their contracts at any time? We haven't got a bloody clue what's in there.
Even if they did have a 5m release clause. If snodders banged in another 6 goals it may make the club 100m plus if they stayed up, he could go then for his buy out.
Depends on what his knee is like. I seem to remember lots of discussion about Charlie Austin's value after he was the top English scorer in the Premier League. He went for peanuts after nobody would touch him for months.
contract law at this basic level is black and white though obviously clubs and players protect themselves with various clauses I think a standard acceptable clause is that fixed prices such as relegation clauses (obviously) and release clauses only relate to the summer because it's harder to buy a replacement in january release clauses may only apply to the first month of the summer window so that the "selling" club has time to get a replacement
I'm going to make a bold statement but I think if marco signs two quick wingers I dont think snodgrass would have got in the team as he wants to play 4-3-3 as he likes players with pace two quick players with Abel in the 3 upfront like Jose Chelsea team I don't think he would have fit in to the system he wants to play as he can't play centre midfield defensive role either
On Twitter: "West Ham have tried hijacking Burnley's £10m bid for Robert Snodgrass by offering £3million for the Scotsman"
We have to take into account the free kicks we had near goal at Chelsea. We could hardly kick the ball forward without Snodgrass taking them.
Maybe that's why I am an accountant and not a lawyer And in my defence it was 30 years ago, I was amazed I even remembered the term
