Empoli are 11 points clear of safety (although the Serie A relegation zone seems already sorted), it'd be a good chance to play at least a season and a half in a decent league at his age.
I stopped reading at £13m, surely that rules us out? Though with the sale of Livermore, injuries to Mason, Henricksen and Snodgrass - We do now desperately need cover. For central defence too.
But Silva also has David Marshall and Alan McGregor to chose from. An apt past tense typo in that article. Ooh ah. Daily...
Definitely worth a punt, seem to remember he arrived at Anfield with massive transfer fee and was identified to be the creative genius off the attacking left flank to replace Suarez. Don't think he ever really had chance to settle at Anfield, but he can play.
If people think taking a punt on Niasse is worthwhile, then taking a punt on Markovic in similar circumstances certainly is.
Niasse needs a few games, have we got a few games? Who knows? But I have been encouraged by what I have seen so far.

Might go for a loan until the end of the season with an option to buy. As you say we desperately need signings in with Mason, Henriksen, out, maybe this will make them thing again if they were considering selling Snodgrass.
Agree about Snoddy, we can't afford to lose him now, Marco appears to want to keep him, someone at the club needs to go on a charm offensive now with Snodgrass, use emotional blackmail if need be, stress we need to fight together for survival, do it for Ryan. We could then agree he could leave in the summer if that's what he wants. Not sure Ehab has charm offensive in his locker, Marco perhaps too new, but certainly the likes of Dawson, Thudd, Robbo, should be trying to turn him around?
I think Ehab had an charm amputated at birth, but let hope he sees common sense, but there again......
I dont have a fear of Snodgrass going anymore (as much as i'd love him to stay and with what he sees coming in player wise he might well want to ) as MS seems to have this ability to encourage quality to come here .... Now Harry that's a different story altogether and as has been said, though he's a mile from the finished article if Stones was worth £50 million, at 23 years of age and CB don't really mature until they're 28 he must be worth a similar amount. Don't think that the likes of Chelsea and Man Utd and definitely Liverpool wont the looking very closely after the eulogies he's received lately. He for me would be a much bigger loss...
West Ham will complete the signing of Brentford striker Scott Hogan this week for a fee worth in the region of £15m.
