We had a Murray up front years back he did alright although he was a midget. Came from Hibs I think. We need to give this one a chance his 6-8 goals could keep us up. Dykes and Bonne won't get any.

Watford signed the young lad on a 1 year loan Sept 2020. So they might have to pay some of his wages, if he comes to us. Or have I been on the cider to early? He might be getting on a bit, but don't forget you can never hurry a Murray.

Apart from Cameron, we are quite a young side. Maybe the signing on Murray, who like Clint Hill and Shaun Derry has spent time in the lower divisions, will help the young players. As long as he gives 100% that will be good enough for me. We also signed a young Angel Rangel - someone else who provided probably more behind the scenes than we saw on the pitch.
Bottom line is that we need to stay out of the bottom 3 spots (in case the league ends early) and look to climb the table. At present anyone that can add or help the side is a welcome addition. Does anyone know what happened to Rhodes or did he not feel up for a fight?

I hope your right,as we need players to give it all,how much match time Murray will get is my concern, hes been a last 15 minute sub for quite a while, which means his impact on a game will be very much diminished due to lack of minutes on the pitch...I'm hoping to be proved wrong.

I get a sense of dejavu with the possibility of this signing. Takes me back to Holloway and 25 wingers at the club yet not playing widemen. Warbs doesnt know his best set up yet and has generally started with one striker. Dykes, who needs it on a six pence, Bonne, yet to understand offside, and Kellman yet to be given a sniff. Add Murray in the mix, and we have some real competition!

I suppose with Murray on the six pence to aim at, their should be a better chance of him putting it away. I'm not feeling too enthusiastic about bringing in a 37 year old to score our goals when I hear Watford fans reckon his legs have gone, though we could get lucky, he was a very good finisher. But it makes me wonder again, why we were so keen to be shot of big Smith, who was a lot more efficient at scoring with both head and feet from open play, than I've seen from Dykes yet.

Good point. But I guess from a cost point of view it’s only half a season. But 37! For a relegation fight? For 15 minutes of his best in a game.
Hmmmm. Not too sure about this. Hope it works out and I have to get a slice of humble pie from the fridge.

Selling Smith was a bizarre one for me, always a good option and managed to put a few away for us. He'd be a better option than Dykes at the moment.

Do we think this Murray stuff is just BS? Last week it was Jordan Rhodes. Probably be Crouchie next week.
