Southampton are set to rival the likes of Tottenham Hotspur, Everton and Crystal Palace in the race to sign out-of-favour Leicester City winger Demarai Gray in the January transfer window.
Brandon Williams is a right back who played in the first team as a left back due to injuries. He is very right footed so can’t see him being a long term fit at left back. He isn’t good enough to be playing for the first team yet so a loan would do him good, doubt he gets in your team either though, probably Championship level This is what a mate of mine said about Williams in case anyone is interested, doesn’t sound like a potential Bertrand replacement
Oh ok. It’s just that we’re talking about buying in January. Which is highly unlikely unless Gao has disappeared or we’re going to break a habit going back many years.
We will potentially have some money frkm the sell of Hoedt if rumours are to be believed, also we could still sell a couple too.
No, you are right there... Forster could fetch about 5Million, and what ever we would save on wages. Obafemi could re-coup about 6/8 tbh. Long again... would be savings on wages.
Yeah I think this will be the attitude. We have started well so shouldn't be in danger of going down so no need to spend in Jan. Can see a loanee or 2 coming in potentially
Lemina..., Elyounssi,.. Carillo.., Ings... Hoedt. That money has been spent, alot of it on garbage. It isn't Gaos fault that the personel brought in has largely been gash.
Since the selling of VVD We have spent £40 Million more than we have Sold... So the arguement of Lining Gaos pockets is rubbish.
I don't think it goes directly into his pocket, just that we are a "self sustainable" club, which tends to mean sell to buy. We don't have much/anything to sell so we won't be buying. What happens to the £100+m we generate per year in PL revenue I'll leave to someone better at finance than me to explain. I just think that as long as we are in the PL and not in much danger of going down we won't see much spent, which is the case this January
Well no, I was being facetious. But money reducing debts of the club increases the value of his investment.
Not at all. I just think people are getting carried away with out lofty position and are forgetting that this the same board that hired pellegrino. Id love the board to say “Well were in contention for a Europa or CL spot, if we strengthen now we will improve our chances”. What they are likely to say is “Great start, unlikely to be relegated so the value of our investment stays high for another year”. Please please please prove me wrong.
