Here's the Hull side of it................ https://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/gavin-whyte-cardiff-city-hull-4889712
Sticking strictly to the officail line that he needs to free up money before committing to any more outgoings?
It was a complete misunderstanding. Harris was talking to the plumber who'd come to fix some of the showers. The conversation went like this: Plumber - "I'll be right back after I've been to the builders' merchant to collect a part" Harris - "No rush mate, we're not playing until Saturday but if you tell me your name, I'll get your shirt ready."
We need players out to get players in. The Day and Whyte transfers are no brainers though .They are standard get shot of anyway.
I think we could get get fees of over 2m for Morrison and Moore. Around a million for Ralls and Smithies. Just short of a million for Nelson maybe Murphy. The rest to move on frees or very small fees. In fact very small fees probably just Bacuna , Hoillet and Bennett.
Max Watters of Crawley apparently to be signed for £1m, beating of bids from others including swansea. https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/cardiff-city-shock-swoop-hijack-19630636
Taking their time. If he comes I hope he is better than our other bargain basement strikers, Alex Revell and Eoin Doyle. The danger is he may be a regular scorer at Creepy Crawley's level but not cut it in the Championship.
I think credit must be given to the board if this deal happens. He may be a diamond or paste but can he be any worse than Madine or Glatzel and who else is out there at a reasonable price?
You're obviously referring to Guilbert Nin - not Watters........ Here we go then............. https://www.footballinsider247.com/cardiff-city-in-advanced-talks-to-sign-aston-villa-guilbert/
One major factor that encourages me though I find it hard to admit it, is that Swansea wanted him - he must be half decent then.
I see those down west are interested in Hourihane of Villa. Decent player but on a decent wage no doubt. Sort of CM with some flair which we’ve missed in the middle of the park for some time.
I thought the same Nin when I saw Villa were off loading him. Similar in ways to Tomlin who is likely to be out for another 3/4 weeks and then brought back carefully. Hurts to say it but if the Jacks get him he will be a good addition.
