Definitely the one good thing to come out of this. If he gets the nod for Saturday Norwich will provide a real test of just how far he has progressed.
Extract from a "The 72" article (and probably very much on the money)................ "Watford, under their new manager Xisco Munoz might have completely forgot about Bennett at Cardiff. Now in the finial six months of his contract though and with talks yet to be had, Watford or any other team for that matter could swoop in and sign a cut-price January left-back. Cardiff are sitting in 15th-place of the Championship table and Harris looks as though he’s achieved the best he can possibly achieve with this Cardiff side, taking them to the play-offs last season. Bennett could well look for the next chapter in his career and likewise with a few other names – Cardiff is a sinking ship and Watford for one could benefit."
Don't know about the next chapter, final chapter more like as he's 31 come March. Also if Watford want to get back to the Prem, if they achieve that is he a realistic first choice at left back? It's painfull I know but that last sentence is right on the money unless some serious changes are made.
Another loan which is not what we ideally want. With where we are in the rightback slot though, I'll take what we can get.
Looks like we have given up on the longer term solution of Ng. Checked out Guilbert on Wiki. An experienced player albeit mostly in France. Hasn't set the world alight at Villa but made 25 appearances there last year. Now third choice so beneficial to go out on loan for game time. He has declined a loan option back to France. Unless Ng comes back on stream, we should go and get him to let Bacuna back in his best position.
Just looked at our upcoming fixtures and we’ve 9 games in just over 5 weeks. With our threadbare and deficient squad and a manager/coach duo who are not up to the job I dread what the table will look like come the end of February notwithstanding Roger and Desmond may be back
Another Cardiff "star" going out?........... https://insidefutbol.com/2021/01/14/hull-city-keen-on-landing-cardiff-city-star/489827/
This is only good news if we sign someone better. To be better they need to fit our style of play. To fit our style of play we need to know what our style of play is.
Looks like we've got another "star" striker coming in........... https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport...xt-48-hours-cardiff-19626623#comments-section
As someone called Redmisty said in his comment at the end of the WoL article, "So he's said f'all really then". Truest comment I've seen today. Just who is the mystery striker? Answers on a postcard please. Or call or text. You will be charged £2 for each call or text plus a charge at your standard network rate. Makes sense for Whyte to move on. Tries hard but lacks a little pace for a winger and his final ball needs improving.
Looks as though a loan deal has been agreed. Good news if true. Hope they make it permanent even on a free. Cant fault the effort hes just out of his depth.
