Confirmed:

Pelts gone.

Uncle Albert in.

Leaves us very light at right back with only Jazz who had another poor game tonight and Coxe who hasn't taken the chances given.

Last Albert I recall playing for the City was Albert Lamour; anybody recall any others

BfB will recall Albert Miles who played for the City between 1927 - 1930. A striker who scored 10 goals in 16 appearances for the Bluebirds. I think BfB was still in short trousers then :emoticon-0142-happy.

There was Albert Valentine who played 16 times for us in 1929 - 1930, scoring 3 goals. A bit of a journeyman whose best season seems to have been at Macclesfield scoring 70 goals in 42 appearances in 1933 - 34

And of course there was Albert Stitfall, brother of the great Ron, born in Cardiff and played for City 7 times between 1948 - 1952 scoring 1 goal

I am sure there are other Alberts but it's not a name associated with City greats!

I will trust your memory BT as you were clearly around then.

What part did you take in the 1926 General Strike and have you still got your black shirt from when you became a follower of Moseley?

Ah well, thats it.
Nothing to suggest we'll be shooting up the table..
A few off the books to help the wage bill, one apparent dissenter removed from the camp (good on NH for moving swiftly if that is the case) and a bit of padding on loan.
Not sure what to think.:emoticon-0112-wonde

Bit underwhelming overall but reading between the lines potentially all positive minded players coming in.

Smith apparently likes to bomb forward, Uncle Albert is clearly attack minded and if Dion Sanderson is a typical Wolves full backnow then he'll be the same.

There are signs of us trying to change our style and bit (allbeit small signs) so I guess this is another small step in our evolution.

Evidence of Harris being told to see how you get on this season (top 6 would be a bonus but not realistic) trim some fat and review at the end of the season?

If so it harks back to the Slade remit which laudable possibly from an accounting exercise but short sighted and a lack of ambition from a fans point of view.

Yes it’s a business but without fans there’s no business.

Message to Messrs Tan, Dalman etc - “Have a look at how far Sheff U have come and try to take a leaf from their book.”

In hindsight, what was the point in signing a striker. Apart from set pieces where we always look for Morrison and Nelson, when do we actually get the ball in or near the penalty area for a shooting opportunity?

Jazz last night? <doh>
