I heard they offered a 2 1/2 year contract, and we offered a year and an option.
He obviously does not believe he will be so good we want to take up the option
Relieved that Cook has not signed. I remember Kasey Palmer absolutely ripping us apart in the first half at Huddersfield when we were playing pointless possession football under JFH before lumping it into the box. He lacked stamina or was injured then because he was subbed in the second half shortly after contributing to their second goal. He looked class then and I often wondered why his career stalled. Has the potential to be another brilliant signing if he takes the chance.
I think we have to accept that Forest will continue to chuck money at anyone we fancy for as long as their accountants can keep massaging the books and getting away with it. That won't be forever. Footballers are not exactly blessed with brains. If they were we wouldn't keep losing out to the likes of Forest and Brizzle.

In one way or another, we are recalling nearly all our players.
Nico Hamalainen, Bettache and Kellman are back...Armstrong the 18 year old forward was recalled from Torquay today, even though they wanted him to stay.
Only Masterson has been told to stay and of course Shodipo, who I am sure we will never see again in a hooped shirt.

Certainly hope not. Thin, depleted squad.....need to keep or get as many fit and healthy as possible for the league conclusion.

I'm torn personally, as I still hold the opinion that a side like ours should try to go as far as possible in the cups.
However, with these unprecedented times, we really should protect as many first choice players as possible imo.
I read Forest have 5 CB's but 2 are injured and Cook may go straight in to the 11. If he signs for them.
Mmm do we think Masterson coming back hints at us not getting Cook and not going after another centre half ? I thought Masterson was on a season long loan and Warburton kept saying he wants him to get a full season out on loan. Doesn't bode well for us getting another centre half in.
If Masterson has improved and Jordi is on his way back in contention, we don't need another CB!
Warburton said only recently Masterson was learning a lot at Cambridge and needed to continue to do that, so what happened? Perhaps Cambridge didnt need him anymore, he hadn't played the last 4 games and we will try and find a new loan for him. Warburton said we needed an experienced CB as cover, but it doesn't look like it will be Cook.
According to the Times the only Championship player who could improve the chances of a PL team is Ben Brereton. They reckon he would suit Leeds. All the other 6 potential PL targets play abroad.
