Just read that trippier is allegedly being paid £300k a week at Saudi Toon..... so that's why he preferred living in Newcastle to Madrid.....
If it is then Howe may well have made a rod for his own back as nobody else in that squad will be getting anything like that.
And the next signing will want that as a minimum. Been there, fcuked up on that. He'll look good in the championship next season. Messing up his England prospects,in the meantime.
Quite. Occasionally we all get to negotiate with an idiot who has too much money and not enough sense. The other party can't quite believe his luck as he gets much more than he had ever dreamed he would. Assuming of course the rumour is true. That's a big assumption and may be nothing more than extremely lazy journalism.
I’m quite happy with the championship teams waxing **** loads of cash about the place, I’m just amazed they can’t see what’s coming with the likes of Derby and their points deduction
Swindon RWB Kesler-Hayden looks well worth a punt, unfortunately just looked him up and is on loan from Villa!
Lol yeah along with 90 other clubs, unfortunately he's in City's proper squad and won't be going anywhere !
Another of the ex Chelsea graduate brigade, missed alot of games through injury. Be a strange one considering Warbs said he wanted an experienced centre back. I'm beginning to think that losing out on Cook has thrown us into confusion, pretty sure we thought it was a done deal and didn't really have any back up plan if it went tits up. Last couple of windows we've done our business quickly and quietly without the names getting banded about too much, wondering if we've got a mole in the club now. Sort of sneaky goings on that Didley could be responsible for
I’m not sure CB is the highest of priorities now (unless one of ours is leaving). Dunne seems to have come good at the right time. A wing back is a tough call for a loan, feels like that position requires strong scouting and a purchase (personally this should have happened last season for a development player who would be in the U23’s building for a first team spot next season). We could do with a pacy creative option with Chair out for sure - there’s a lot of expectation on Willock right now and he needs someone to partner him - he struggled at first without Chair around but does seem to have adapted each game. That creative is a hard player to just arrive and drop into a slot, and our system, at this level; whereas a battling defender is an easier slot to fill. Can’t help feeling our strikers are struggling (which it shouldn’t be with Austin, Gray, Dykes all good options on paper but not delivering). Aside from that, there doesn’t seem too many options around the marketplace right now either. Could be a tougher window than MW, LF and the scouting set-up expected.
There are a number of interesting names listed on something called regeneration.net/2022/01/07, players in positions we maybe looking to strengthen. Dan Barlaser who may play against us today is one of them.
