Strong rumours that Josh Scowen is off to Sunderland, would explain the very muted goal celebration recently.
I read it on something 247 which means I'm sceptical, as are Spurs fans apparently- he is a very highly rated 17 year old.
Have just seen WLS are reporting Scowen is likely to sign for Sunderland, and plans to send Smith back are being reconsidered. Our midfield is already seriously light weight, I'd prefer Scowen's aggression and occasional brilliance myself.
Parrott (Troy - not John) is only 17. Seen him play for the Irish under 21's and he definitely has great potential. He would be considered the youngster with the greatest potential of a good crop of young Irish kids coming through. Is a move to the rough and tumble of the Championship a good move for him? Not sure but he is certainly one I would like to see get regular games somewhere.
Can understand getting Scowen off the wage bill. Expect he’s on reasonable dough.
Can’t understand bringing Smith back though.
Matt Smith, he's still with us. But the Club had planned to send him back to City, but will reconsider if Scowen goes according to WLS.
Yeah he’s comfortably good enough for L1. Not much of a passer but very much a Parkinson player running around and scrapping.
