... the only entertaining bit for me was watching Rooney's attempted control of the through ball that would have put him one v one with the keeper ... particularly when contrasted with the quality that was on show the day before in the Champion's League final ... a sobering and perhaps (with the Euros in mind) timely reflection of where we really are in world footballing terms ...
We know where we are, there are a few stragglers on that still think we are good, or at least should be good cause we're england. At the end of it the sobering and timely reminder of where we really are was under our glorious former manager Sven
I think Hodgson is doing a decent job. Lets not forget that this was only really meant to be a quick run out before the important game on Sunday.
