Bruce is the 35th longest serving manager in the whole league (I know that's below MM). Would anyone bet against him being in the top 30 by the end of September? (Bear in mind Moyes replacing Ferguson at Man U took out 2 of the top 3, it's not just sackings that move you up the rankings)

Some of it is very good, but Livermore a 'useful squad player'? I don't think so. And the paragraph about playing a 3-man midfield just to accommodate Koren is bullshit. We'll play a 3-man midfield whatever and I'd be very surprised if Koren starts.

In some ways the Aluko injury may have been mixed blessings.... If Aluko had not been injured and continued his fantastic form through the second part of the season, then we may have seen a massive bid for him from one of the bigger Premier League clubs which would have been hard to turn down.

Not even for him. Missing half a football season is not a tragedy. It's a very strong word that should be kept for occasions when it's properly warranted.
Take out hindsight. A professional had an accident that could have ended his career. Remember that was a possibility, we weren't prepared to discuss a new contract with him until we were sure he'd recovered.
