Adel Taarabt's work rate on Saturday was outstanding and I haven't seen him dip that since Harold or under MH You may confuse the fact about his creativity not being as high each game Mackie is great of course I know they both can stay and you can learn to support the team without finding picking the threads out of your lemon cardigan . Tip get a Remington Fuzz Away x
If we're talking about the current market of things, Liverpool are said to have wrapped up deals for Thomas Ince for 6 million (even though they sold him for 250k 2 years ago) and Daniel Sturridge for 12 million. Don't quote me on those figures, just what the liverpool fans I know have said. But if they're true then Mackie is comfortably worth at least 5mil.
Swords, you're starting to look like a WUM, Taarabt is one of the few that you cannot fault on work rate this year. For an attacking creative genius his defensive work has been superb!!
Ranger, for God's sake stop acting the eejit. I was the first one to acknowledge Taarabt's improvement in that area. It was probably the only thing Hughes got right during his tenure - improving that aspect of his game. Of course, I believe every player should have that as their bare minimum and shouldn't have to be coaxed but maybe that's just me. Nevertheless, if we're going to judge a player by the standards you're all setting out, then Tarbs has a long long way to go. Can't you see how football people who have watched great players down the years might take exception to you liberally dishing out the word genius on a guy that's yet to prove himself? Not to mention having watched said player play awfully at times? I don't want to go down the road of bashing the lad because he's done well this Season but again I find myself doing it because you've gone way over the top!! Good player. Great potential. Has shown glimpses of top quality in his 17 months at this level. Has played very poorly during that 17 months resulting in him being dropped from the team. Very good at doing some silky stuff. Very bad at delivering set pieces. Seems to have ironed out attitude problems. Also seems to be very egotistical. Not the sharpest tool in the box but on his day can turn a game. Great in fits and spurts. Poor consistency levels. So can you reign it in a while '74 until he becomes the all round player we know he can be????
It's a complete mystery to me what position Jamie Mackie thinks is his best. If he really wants to go, good luck to him, but having been given a new contract in the summer and playing his heart out (to mixed effect) whenever he gets on, this looks doubtful. He'd only be on the fringes of the starting team again anyway.
i would put my house on, that mackie will be at rangers come february, he seems to love it there, if the quote was from his agent, that harry does not want him fair enough. it seems a load of crap journos, who get 95 per cent of there stories wrong, not right, until i see him running out at c.c with a white shirt on, i totally ignore this rubbish,
