Anyone who wonders how well we've done, given we're in Europe this year, should spend a coupe of minutes looking at the recent histories of Stoke, Everton and Fulham.

It's only by the unfathomable mismanagement at Liverpool/Chelsea and the almost obsessive focus on youth at Arsenal that even allows 4th and 5th to be available. I'm afraid that won't last forever, and we've still got to best Everton and Spurs to get near. There's two leagues, 1-5 and 6-20. It's almost like the ludicrous ****e north of the border. Mourinho at Chelsea, a stable time at Liverpool, investment at Arsenal and more money spent at Spurs once they cop £60m for Bale and suddenly our optimism can't get much further than 7th and 'fingers crossed' at every cup draw.

 

I think he's alright to be honest. Mainly because I met him in Louis's restaurant in Jesmond a while back and he spoke well of the club/area etc. said he loved coming up here for the match. Andy Gray was with him, he was a bell end. He is alright on League of their Own too.

Way out in terms of talking about fortunes spent but it is completely unacceptable our fall from grace. Yes there are some reasons why we've struggled but a big part is underperforming players, manager, board and fans (i.e. club as a whole). I do think if we survive we might surprise a few people next season.

 

I don't know if he wrote the article or if someone wrote it for him but I listened to the interview he doesn't mention money spent or appalling?guilty of believing what you read lads?
