James Ward-Prowse called up by England...

It's a strange thing, but I was shocked we ONLY had 2 players called up for England. How things have changed.

 

Dunno quite where to put this but Graziano has been called up for Italy. I for one would be thrilled to see him score against England.

 

Rob green and Danny ****ing rose called up in place of forster and shaw. Is roy losing his eyesight ? Bertrand was superb today !

 

Staggering. Poor Ryan.

Roy was mesmerised by his superb diving today.

 

I just can't believe that moron. Danny Rose? Danny ****ing Rose? Just retire from international football Ryan until that twat has gone.

 

England can win against lithuania, that I don't mind, but losing to a pelle hattrick against italy will suot me down to the ground.

 

Does playing Danny Rose commit him to England? If so, I guess I can see the logic. He is a good player, IMO. Not as good as Bertrand, but good enough to have a future with the team.

 

This plus the supposed resting of just liverpool players for the italy game really frustrates me.

According to the EA Sports Player Performance Index the best English defender is Aaron Cresswell. He has looked good when i've seen him play.
To be fair to Rose I don't think he is a bad player. I prefer him to Kyle Walker

 

****ing joke. Bertrand was outstanding AGAIN today. Sometimes, I wish I had a greater part of me that was Welsh!

And that is why it might make sense to play him. Bertrand will always be available, Rose might not be. And Rose is a good enough player that it makes sense to keep him in England's player pool if possible.

 

Those who read my posts in here will know I support England massively, even though I despair at the quality of English players and the team.

However, I am beginning to think that Hodgson is just a wimp who gets bullied at school. He has no idea. Kyle Walker has been out for months and Roy was in the crowd for last week United v Spurs when Walker was awful and he was awful again yesterday. The left back situation is the same. Shaw has been shocking and and dropped for United and Gibbs in and out for Gooners. Baines playing average in a poor Everton team.

Ryan Bertrand has been the most consistent and possibly the best LB this season outside Chelsea' Azpilacueta (?) and Hidgson would probably pick him ahead of Ryan.

I also read quotes today that he says his comments about Welbeck to Wenger played a big part in that move.

His comments about the video messages sent to England squad players this week were also embarrassing. He said he didn't care if they didn't look at them. He should, he is the manager and took the time I do the messages.

I can only imagine that Hodgson is scared of Bertrand's (admittedly quite scary) eyes. It's why Wayne Routledge has no chance too.

It's the only explanation.

 

I don't think Hodgson has realised, or been told, that Ryan Bertand actually is English. Maybe the qualification has changed so that players with foreign-sounding names are excluded (in which case Lallana should be dropped)?
