I try not to look a saddo by starting a thread for everything, so post it on transfer thread. At least it isn't the usual suspect. 
Only kidding, it is worth a thread. JWP is a good lad who can only get better. I was one who thought he might get pushed to one side by new players, but Ron values him (as does Les Reed no doubt). We discovered how we missed him when he was out...no one else is good enough at the dead ball.

Things change I know....but he has shown commitment. The club has obviously improved his deal which shows our faith in him. If things change, I'm sure it will be all above board and we'll come out okay. Players leave I know, but there are ways of doing things (aka not the Lallana/Lovren way).
Wouldn't it be wonderful if in 12-15 years time, we are reading an article about the "last breed of his type of player" as JWP announces his last season for Saints before become chief spokesperson/PR officer for the club?
Not sure we'll be seeing a video of his 200 odd goals though

Yep and the best news is! His new deal doesn't have a buy out clause (his old one did).

Odd though cos I'm sure he was a regular scorer for England and the U21's. I'm sure he'll break the barren run soon. A 30 yard screamer on Sunday will be a good start!
