If you play Walcott and AOC on either wing, you have pace on both sides to whip in crosses for Rooney or Carroll if plan a isnt working.
Its also a reason why Id have taken Crouch.

I never understood why Crouch isn't there and don't play more for England. He has exceptional talent in the air and ain't no pussy on the floor either! He's pretty handy with dreads too!

Because I think Hodgson is a moron, I have no faith in him at all.

At worst, he should be an option for the last 20 mins if things arent going right.

I don't see how Hodgson is a moron. In weeks he's made us difficult to beat and isn't afraid to do things his way. The players seem to like and respect him too.

He said Rio is too good to be picked as a back up player, now that is moronic. Hes nothing but a yes man for the FA.

99% of manager wont accept interference from above in their clubs, why should international manager be any different?

    Just look at Capello.

It made sense to me. If he was just a yes man for the FA he wouldn't have taken the job in the first place and wouldn't be able to play the tactics he is using. He's the best manager we've had for some time in my opinion for not caring about reputations and picking the squad that will be the most cohesive unit rather than the best on paper.

I thought we were bad against France and were lucky to get a draw.
The shots on target were 15 to 1. It could and should of been a hammering.

We are also very boring to watch.

Surely England should be aspiring for more for a right hand sided midfielder than providing cover for the right back. I really hope England give it a go in the next couple of games and are more attack minded.

Agree. He is definitely better than Carroll.

Stats are misleading. The defence was always well organised and the French never looked like breaking it down. We are boring to watch but with this group of players it's the best way to go. The central defence is too slow to push the midfield up high and the midfield is too slow to leave the wide areas exposed so sitting deep, relying on our best asset, a strong goalkeeper and defence, and nicking chances from set pieces or a bit of quality from Young is the way to go.

I like Hodgson i think he is moving england in the right direction, there shape is excellent when they don’t have the ball. We need to build a team for 2014 and Crouch and Rio wont be around but Carroll, Kelly, Jones, Welbeck, AOC and Henderson will.
