That happened with someone last season as well (might have been Long then as well). The shirt they had for the first half had a poppy, but they changed shirt at half-time (like they did every game) and the one for the second half hadn't had the poppy added. I blame the kitman, but at least he didn't take a pair of scissors to his kit like that Arsenal player has been doing.
he refuses to wear the poppy cos he's an ira republican sympathizer, he's a total ****, he hates britain... if you knew half of what the **** stands for and what he believes in plus he is ****ing **** why would you even consider having him at our club? he's a ****ing ****.. if he ever joined us i could never support him in a city shirt, but he won't join us, cos he is ****ing **** he's ****ing absolute ****ING **** but that's just my opinion..
So, just for the avoidance of doubt. What's your opinion on James McClean? I can understand you not supporting him if you have personal reasons to, but can I then assume you wouldn't celebrated if he scored? What about if he scored the goal that meant our survival?
I wear a poppy but the whole point of the campaign - and indeed the wars - were for people to have the right and freedom to make choices. Anyone criticising someone for not wearing a poppy is missing the point.
You seem overly wound up about this. I couldn't give a **** about whether or not he wore a poppy. If he's an Irish catholic, what the **** would you expect?
