Sorry for the confusion Sid, but I was only referring to possible current alternatives in the midfield that we have, and that I would like to seen given a chance circumstances permitting,not any preferred combination. The only way I could ever see Hume and Embleton on the pitch together is with Hume in at Left back, but that combination would only work in the future, if and when Hume shows better defensive capability, its a learning curve for all our home grown talent, but unless we give them a game or two, we will never know how good they are. All the players mentioned have already made their debuts and none have let the side down, in fact have played very well imo. that's why I'm not keen on short term fixes like loan deals unless they are absolutely necessary, and would rather see our own given the chance first.
Fair points mate and appreciate where your coming from. I just hope that when we do give them a chance that they get it in their preferred position and we aren't shoehorning them into another where they're less comfortable and able.
Thing is the Dutch winger was brought in by advocaat. Remember him? The one we ALL swooned over. Please stay dick etc etc. Hire planes, flowers for the wife etc etc. What a charlatan he proved to be. He persuaded short to shell out the money for that slimey lazy tw9t and he was dog5hit. Short seems to get the blame for him and toivenen.
