I think your sentence may have some basis, Max! But there is another team which fits the philosophy even more perfectly; a team with a very long history of getting what it wants – especially since its aristocratic owner sees his team's success as a symbol of national pride, regardless of cost. This team also make a habit of presenting a better financial package than McLaren, as if deliberately outbidding them as often as possible… That said, I'll throw in a 'curved ball': Although I think this is less likely than the above, there is another possibility: Honda! [edit: I now see that Bando has already mentioned Honda]
I just don't get all this secret crap about Allison.... Is somebody getting fired or is this some massive shift in a team? Lowe was all over the news but somehow Allison gets the incognito role. Maybe Newey is leaving...
The plot thickens!… If Newey's leaving Red Bull, I'm pretty sure Vettel would be going with him, since my understanding is that their contracts are mutually tied. And if this is the case, it might hint at Red Bull's exit from F1 earlier than expected (at least, by me). I find that all a bit much, so I'll stick with Ferrari plus the curved ball…
