I think Alguesuari is well worth keeping for this season (unlike a couple of others). After that, let's reassess.
I'm not convinced about Alguersuari yet. Is he really outperforming Buemi? He's ahead in the WDC, but that doesn't prove he's the better driver (see Sutil vs Di Resta). Marko has the final say and he's had some positive things to say about Buemi - which could also be interpreted as a dig at Alguersuari. Could it be that the saved set of tyres from poor qualifying are making Alguersuari look better than he is - or perhaps strategy is helping him?

In all seriousness, I think the very reak threat of losing his seat has kicked him into some form of action and his recent impressive performances seem to be the result. If he can keep up the level fo for the next few races then he gets a definite vote of confidence from me.
Yeah I think Alguersuari has been flattered a bit recently by having more fresh tyres than others allowing to go on better strategies. I think he has only got his seat still because he brings in quite a bit of money, I think from his dad who is really rich or something.
