Or Eddie Jordan he's a wise man very much in their league. Your signature,,,So thats about four pounds seventy five pence then?
That's very anti-Raikkonen and very untrue. You could argue that some drivers are more deserving than others, but all F1 Champions are deserving of their title - they ended the year with the most points. As for the point about Massa, it was clear to see that him and Raikkonen were closely matched. We all know that the young inexperienced Massa humiliated Villeneuve when they were teammates. Maybe that is why he is rating Massa so highly. Next he'll be saying Heidfeld is deserves to be a multiple World Champion...
The only Team mate that didn't humiliate JV was Frentzen Button entered a team that was not only set up for JV but created especially for him and absolutely trounced him. As for Massa he just isn't the same driver since his accident and he is being **** on by Ferrari so what do people expect from him, if he stays where he is his career is finished kaput over,,, end of, but in the right team I believe he can still fulfill potential. Having said that he is not and never will be a great wet weather driver but you can't have everything can you?
I found the original interview: http://www.totalrace.com.br/site/en...discussao-sobre-massa-e-schumacher-e-estupida I found a different interpretation of that interview here:
Thanks Mr Ferrari Now that throws a different light on the Autosport story. I know JV does talk a lot but so have other past champions, those who didn't quite make it ( I'm referring to Mr Irvine of course ) and his namesake, the one who ran his team into the ground and was criticised by judge in court for not being, truthful shall we say..... I hadn't responded to this thread before since I wondered what JV was going on about if he was referring to 2007 and why indeed he would say it. The interpretation above puts it into context, that he was referring to 2008. He is also correct in saying that there are some years when things just do not go right for you. Take Mario Andretti and Jody Sheckter in 1980 or Niki Lauda in 1985. If one just took 1980 on it's own, one could be forgiven for assuming that Elio de Angelis was a superior driver to Mario Andretti which is simply not the case or that Jody Sheckter, the then reigning WDC was past it. I would agree with Mr Cowboy's assessment on the second half of 2007. Fernando Alonso had to fight everyone else including his own team. If ever one need convincing of this, then just consider Daddy Ron Dennis's remarks after Shanghai when he admitted that they were racing Fernando..... http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/formula_1/article2617378.ece Sadly, sport is not always what it's meant to be.
I don't know why but this emoticon always reminds me of Villeneuve I actually touched his helmet in 2005 at the pit-lane park at Silverstone but was never particularly a fan
i have always thought that he was a twat - he always says the complete opposite things to 90% of the rest of the f1 world. Alot of what he says are just stupid and wrong also! He must either be watching different F1 or delibertly just causing trouble and being an arse!!!
JV has again shown his skillz....... Can't remember Kimi doing such crap.
Disgraceful driving Villeneuve: amateur stuff. Having left the circuit, he knew the danger of re-entering at an angle. He was in full control of the car by this time and could have done one of three different things to enter safely: He could have used the whole run-off apron, re-entering the field ahead and then given back the place. Whilst off the circuit, he could easily have steered right so as to re-enter the track at a shallower angle, thereby allowing his competitors to read his move as more predictable. He could have waited for the field to pass - Or he could be a complete idiot and try to hold the place (which he'd have had to give back anyway) by punting the new leader in revenge and hoping to come off best. What a plonker.
I haven't had any racing experience but all the points sound like common sense to me. You don't rejoin the track like he did. What an idiot.
Well, you're on the right track already Forza: racing is about finding the right balance of 'competitive' and 'common-sense'! Villeneuve has plenty of fighting spirit, so he easily ticks the first box…
