http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-glasgow-west-12845408 I heard about this this morning. They were the only ones left in the area that's being redeveloped as the athletes village for the Commonwealth games. Finally turfed out this morning by sheriffs officers. This family were offered (and rejected) 3 other houses by the city council PLUS paid in excess of ã90k (apparently above market value) for their tenement flat, but still refused to move. Anyone else not feeling sorry for them at all?
No sympathy for them at all. They got offered a better place to live plus a fortune in compensation and still refused to move. God knows how much it's cost in legal costs etc. Schemie ****ers.
Said on BBC radio this morning that she only got offered ã30k for the hoose, so **** knows who's right.
staggie First offer was 30k. It was then increased to 90k. She would also be rehomed. So basically she would move to a new property and have 90k in her sky rocket and she still refused to move. **** 'em.
She said in an interview that it was ã90k, but it wasn't enough for her to buy something else outright. I'm with Stereo, schemie ****er. Probably never worked a day in her life. Plus her husband's called Jack Jaconelli
