Not a fan of harrassing the officals, id rather Arsenal focused on shoring up the defence and scoring 3 or 4 goals every game, we wouldnt need to hassle the ref then and people might just actually let him get on with his already difficult job.
Samba is not a terrible player, but he is a barely mobile brick wall, need someone with pace and tactical awareness.
Theo There you have it mate. IF only you could defend mainly set pieces better than you have, I think that's all Mr Wenger needs to do. HATE this running too the ref every five mins though. Give them a yellow card first time they say anything i.e. Terry, Rooney and others. Simple, they won't do it a 2nd time.
I was encouraged at the start of last year as the F.A announced they were planning to book any players other than the captain running and complaining to referees ( is this still the case?) but as the season went on, tempers flared, and it happened so often it quickly became the norm for everyone and his dog to give abuse to the referee, i hate it when players do it, The refs made a call get on with it, end of.
I agree refs need more respect. At the moment blaming them for a defeat is an acceptable form of scapegoating in the media and I think thats why manager do it so often.
I don't see what the point is. Many a time, I've seen players challenge the refs decision. It's hardly as if he's going to give in and roll over and change his decision is it?! Let's say the ref gives a red-card to someone, the tackle seen, whistle blown and card up, the players team mates get angry and start hounding the ref. What do they ACTUALLY think they're going to get out of it? The ref isn't all of a sudden going to go; "Oh yes, whoops my apologies, I was wrong! Come back on the pitch..." If I didn't know who this thread was about, I would have definitely guessed Wilshire. Seems a very arrogant character. Wouldn't put this past him.
As good a player wilshiere is I must admit with some shocking tackles hes done and articles like this im rapidly going off him. I had really high hopes for him being a great role model for youngsters but at the moment hes letting himself down. He is an awesome player who WILL be an England legend but he could end up being liked as much as Ashley cole unless his attitude changes. I cant help feeling that this "attitude" comes from Wengers way of thinking IMO.
The role model argument is complete bollocks in my opinion, just invented by tabloids so that they feel justified in to looking in to football players private lives. And I doubt it is Wenger's fault that Wilshire is a bit arrogant, think how many footballers have an attitude like his.
Hi Robin & Potts, Perhaps I was OTT in condemnation of Jack Wilshere. I apologise but am most disappointed as I thought he could go a long way. A very poor article and if Arseanl start surrounding refs I do wonder what Whinger will say. All I can say is perhaps the players English is coming along!
