We have debated several young lads and whether they should have been given a chance here. Younger, Hawkes, Almomd etc. Diamond is the one for me who hasnt had the chances he deserves. Delighted he is still ours, and hope he gets his chance because in my opinion he is worth a lot of patience. Pace, finishing, awareness. He can be a player for us IMO.
Just haven’t seen that except for very rare glimpses. Certainly not enough to think he’ll make it any higher than league 1. (Always thought he’s good enough fir league 1 mind, even when he was here. Be very happy to be proved incorrect mind
Cheers mate, I agree about Diamond and Younger, although I cant remember saying much about Hawkes or Almond , I certainly remember a few others I have championed, or questioned on here, often against the vox populi, it adds interest imo, right or wrong
Agree mate, it is why we are here, to share opinions. Probably my memory thinking it was you that liked Hawkes. There are a few good lads in the academy now to look forward to as well.
Quality player, the best player I've seen in league 1 this season. His best position is a wingback, not sure how he would be as a fullback but very good as a wingback. Plays on as a LWB for them and has been their best player IMO - wish he had kept him as hes a top prospect

So do I, I rate him highly , looked the real deal to me , but not to some , hope he continues to prove them wrong, but he will do it in the final third imo., not at the back, but we will see.
That's why I think wingback suits him best, 4 clubs have now used him there (us, Norwich, Peterborough and Plymouth) so reckon thats where will play going forward. Seems a great lad as well so like you I hope he smashes it
