We need a lot more signings even if we don't go up, as the quality of teams next season are far greater than this season really, West Ham, Blackpool, Wolves, Blackburn are far better than the teams that they are replacing. Brighton, Southampton and Huddersfield are far better than those they are coming up instead of two. Next year will be far harder. We need two goalkeepers, two/three centre backs, a new left back, a cover right back, a strong CM, maybe a creative cm, a big lad upfront and maybe one more winger....... Anyone think we need more or less?
How about this for a starting line up for next season: Mannone Roseinor, Gerrard, Hobbs, Robinson (loan from Liverpool) Devitt, Evans, Chester, Stewart Simpson, Fryatt Ideally Mannone, Gerrard, Hobbs and Evans all on permanent deals, all realistic, even Mannone, Arsenal likely to sign Reina in the summer so Mannone will be surplus again. Robinson gave a good account of himself yesterday, and looked ok against us last season, my mate (liverpoolfan) has seen Robinson play regularly in reserves and thinks he is decent. Liverpool are likely to sign at least 1 LB, so a loan could be a real chance
think he means Brighton, Huddersfield & Saints are far better than Sheff U, Scunny & Preston (if they go down as table stands) "far" better? Blades are a bigger club than all 3. Scunny & Brighton both small ish clubs Huddersfield could be a force to be reckoned with in the next few years, they have financial backing, Saints have recovered well.. all in all though, not a massive difference in quality.. IMO MK Dons, Peterboro & Bournemouth might win the play-offs and they're not big fish..
