I was going to say Hobbs wasn't marking Benjani! Very good partnership forming between our back 5, hopefully Basso,Rosenior, Hobbs & Chester can bring Dudgeon on in his game because the potential is there
It is right to include the goalkeeper but what about the midfield? A back four can look poor when they have midfield players coming at them but it sounds like the midfield have been doing their job defensively too.
Impressed with the full team on Saturday! The only slight disagreement I have is with McLean and I know I may get slaughtered for this but I would play Fryatt & Waghorn! I cannot deny that McLean put in one hell of a shift on Saturday and his effort was fantastic, absolutely no doubt about it! However he is not technically as good as Waghorn & Fryatt and the only way we are going to start scoring more is if the two ex-Leicester lads play. For the record, I would have started McLean on Saturday due to his goal @ Peterborugh but nothing in the Pompy game suggested McLean may score another anytime soon and for that reason @ Bristol I would play Fryatt & Waghorn.
a certain michael turner had a very shaky start to his time at city and then look what happened. far to many on here are far to quick to judge (no names) and then have to eat humble pie(great rock band in there day) afterwards. 7 league games played = 4 clean sheets / 2 1-0 losses and that horrid night @ tws ground. not bad to start with. hobbs and chester will only get better and better. the proof is already out there.
You can't really compare Hobbs and Turner because we've no idea if Hobbs is capable of improving the same amount or if the coaching is there. What is safe to say though is that if Hobbs does show the same improvement that Turner did for us, he'll be an England international because his starting point is way higher.
