Don't know why but I always notice Leon more than I notice Cork! Strange as I think Cork is a fantastic player who seems to know when to stay and when to twist. An outstanding signing and as important (with Leon injured and Monk not playing to Carroll's strengths) as Fabianski. Also agree with a couple of comments about Naughton - IMO he's solid, maybe what's needed in the more defensive approach we have seen this season but I still regard Rangel (when fit) as a much better all round fullback.
The only thing that is letting rangel down now is his legs. In regards to cork dont you think that in not noticing him he is doing his job in breaking up play and giving it to our other stars to grab all the headlines
Well I certainly notice Cork being an absolute nuisance in the midfield against Arsenal. He harried and pressed at every opportunity. He also made a lot of strong interceptions. It was his best game for us so far.
Corky was a steal at the price we bought him for, Gomis has finally settled in and will be a key player for us next season...MOM against city.....As we have missed out on Europe then 3 or 4 quality signings and we will be a force to be reckoned with next season....
I like Cork but I do miss Leon. There's something reassuring about Leon when he plays. Cork is playing well but he isn't as visible as Leon is. There again, he's scored more goals this season, 1, than Leon has in years. Does anyone else think that Monk put him on Sunday to give him a final taste of playing in the Prem for the Swans?
Yea the legend have come to the end now and if he wants to play regular then he will have to step down a league or two. If he is happy to be a bit part player then great as he wont get much if any first team games next season....
Who give a toss who brought who in, the main thing is they're at our club P.S. Didn't someone want Aspas instead
