Hacked, my arse! The server crashed because it was inundated with an massive influx of traffic when 606 died.

I just about managed to make a few posts the day before 606 died (on the 27th), and the site was running very slowly then. On the 28th, the site crashed. Believe me, that will not be a coincidence. The site administrator will not want to admit that the server crashed due to traffic overload, because that would be extremely embarrassing for him, so he'll blame hackers all day long. But the reason will be very mundane.

They were upgrading the website on 28th and 29th.
 
Yes, I heard that they were upgrading the website, and that work was due to have been completed by the 29th. Either the upgrade simply could not cope with the uplift in traffic from the 28th, or the work is still continuing.

Who would want to hack a site that hasn't even really got started? That doesn't make any sense.
 
ja606 was rubbish - and probably would be taken out for copyright infringement by BBC lawyers - maybe that's why it went
 
A DDOS attack seems unlikely to me.

Maybe they're mistaking a massive influx of new traffic for an attack?
 
Russian i have missed your posts, haven't seen u since you got banned from 606 for saying Death to Moderators.

JA606 is rubbish anyway, doesn't work and got hacked.

Not606 is the future.

My username had "Death to 606 moderator" at the end of it, but I didn't get banned until the last day of 606. Which was quite pointless come to think of it.
 
JA606 was hit by an illegal attack through the 'ddos' servers. Apparently the site was taken down by one person!
